Course overview

This two day course begins with an introduction to Tensorflow and continues with some basic information about Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), and how to use GAN advanced deep learning in practice for various applications. Later, we will introduce the recent advanced deep learning models (e.g., Transformer, ELMo, BERT) in NLP (natural language processing).

The course consists of lectures and hands-on exercises. Please bring a laptop.

Participation is free and open to all existing and prospective users of HPC from Swedish institutions. Coffee and lunch will be provided.

Time and date: 8-9 May, 2019. 9:00-16:30 both days.

Location: N280 (Naturvetarhuset), Umeå University.
