Seminar overview

Do you work with GROMACS, NAMD, AMBER or VMD in the life sciences?

Would you like to

improve your understanding of how to use these applications, learn more about their scalability and performance, find out ways to avoid potential issues with them, and learn best practices for using these applications on high performance computing (HPC) systems? Then join us for the 2019 HPC for Life Sciences Seasonal School!

PRACE (the main HPC resource provider in Europe) and BioExcel (the leading European Centre of Excellence for Computational Biomolecular Research) are bringing the core developers of some of the most popular and well-known applications in the life sciences field (GROMACS, NAMD, AMBER and VMD) to share their expertise with you at the PRACE/BioExcel Seasonal School 2019.

The school will be very practical with extensive hands-on sessions covering more than half of the time over the four days of the school - so you will have plenty of opportunities to put what you learn into practice and get assistance from the developers of the applications. Note that during the school, participants will be able to run code on the PRACE Tier‐1 system Beskow.

Trainer

The course is taught by key developers and/or principal investigators of major MD simulation packages.
