Security entails keeping systems and data appropriately safe from intrusion and theft. The most difficult aspect of security is finding the appropriate level for each use case. Since all security solutions place obstacles in the way both for attackers and intended users of a system, it is a nontrivial task to choose a security solution that correctly balances ease of use against the risk of intrusion and theft, both of which sides are difficult to gauge.
